ACADEMICS

FAM runs a rural education program on Finca Dos Marias, a coffee farm in the foothills of San Marcos, Guatemala. The program is Pre-K - 13 and focuses on the  basics of critical thinking and ethics which the students practice in their day to day living.  The curriculum is based on Reading/Writing and Math but also includes classes in Science, Social Studies, Music, Art, Physical Education and Technology. This curriculum provides our students with the knowledge and vocational skills to enter the workforce or higher education.

Pre-K & Elementary

FAM´s Pre-K & Elementary Program prepare students to acquire the knowledge and skills in four core areas: reading, writing, math, technology and general culture. 

Students learn and work through innovative strategies and methodologies that challenges them to reach their maximum capacity and potential.

Middle School

FAM´s Middle School Program is focus, in this periodo of their lives, to guide and form in 4 core areas of knowledge: reading and writing, math, technology and general culture, but also to encourage their energy, character and personality in thinking, analyze and decide, be ethical and live solidarity. 

 

Students learn and work  through innvoative and update strategies and methodologies that challenged them to reach and develop their máximum capacity and potential.​

High School
 

FAM's High School Program empowers students to acquire, demonstrate and articulate strong values and character traits in order to become productive citizens. 

The program continues to focus on   reading, writing, math and technology along with classes that meet the Guatemalan curriculum [science, social studies, general culture and electives].

Students learn and work through innovative strategies and methodologies that challenges them to reach their maximum capacity and potential.
